A fun time was had by all who attended the 2^nd annual CCHRA Networking Event on August 19.  This year, we had over 80 attendees who were treated to wine from Delicato Winery, hors d’oeuvres, and exciting prize drawings in the beautiful dining and outdoor patio area of the D’Arrigo Bros. Co. facility in Spreckels.  The networking event was a benefit for CCHRA members and non-members were welcomed to attend as well.   It provided the perfect opportunity to meet or reconnect with fellow HR professionals and learn more about our organization.  In addition, all proceeds from the drawing benefit the SHRM Foundation which funds HR grants and research, bestows scholarships and advances the HR profession.

CCHRA received donations for the drawing from over 20 businesses (see list below).   Over $700 was raised for the SHRM Foundation which is an increase of nearly 50% from 2009’s networking event.  CCHRA will be donating an additional $300 which means approximately $1,000 will be donated to the SHRM Foundation!  Donations to the SHRM Foundation are tax deductible and anyone who paid by check will receive an acknowledgement.
